The Second Gym!

Lowell, feeling confident in his Pokemon's abilities, enters the second gym. He's surprised to find that it is almost entirely made up of water! "This is going to be a bit hard to maneuever on..." Lowell says, carefully stepping towards the end of the gym.

Misty looks up. "Why hello there, did you come here to battle?"

Lowell makes it to the end of the Gym. "Yeah. I finally got my Pokemon ready." he says.

"Alright then" Misty takes out a pokeball. "Go Staryu!"

"Let's go, Minun!" Lowell says, releasing Minun from its Pokeball. It charged its electricity in anticipation, creating sparks.

"Staryu, use water gun!" the water pokemon lets out a large blast of water. Minun jumps out of the way, landing on a small plateform.

"Go Minun! Use Thunder on Staryu!" Lowell shouts encouragingly. Minun jumps forward and releases his bolt of electricity.

Staryu jumps back. "Use sift Staryu!" The pokemon lets small starts charge at Minun. Who jumps into the water to get away.

Minun climbs out of the water, drying himself off. "OK, Minun, use Thunderwave on Staryu!" Lowell commands.

Staryu is hit, and is now Paralized. "Darn! Staryu return!" Misty takes back the pokemon, not wanting it to be KO'd, "Go Corsola, use take down!"

Minun dives away from Corsola's attack, and lands on his side. "Minun, use Thunder again!" Lowell tells him. Minun releases a bolt of lightning straight at Corsola...

Corsola is hit. The pokemon jumps back with watergun. Minun again dodges. "Corsola! Use Agility!" the pokemon quickly moves around the area at fast speeds.

"Minun, use Thunder on the water!" Lowell says. Minun does so. The water is electrified by the attack, and sparks dance across the surface. Maybe Corsola will get caught by one.

Corsola is hit again. This time KOing it. Minun gains another Lv. and is now Lv. 13.

"Rest Corsola, go Starmie!"

Minun runs up to Starmie and bumps into it, using Thunderwave as he does so.

Starmie moves back then uses watergun, hitting Minun. "Now use shift!" Starmie shots more stars at Minun.

*Minun dodges among them, but is hit by one. He is knocked back, dazed, but manages to get up. He unleashes another Thunderwave at Starmie.

Starmie is basted back. KOd. "Darnit!" She returns the pokemon. "Go! Gold duck!!"

"Keep it up, Minun! YOu're doing great!" Minun lunges at Golduck, and sends a Thunderwave at it.

Goldduck jumps away. "Now use Headbutt!" Goldduck hits Minun. Fourcing Minun deep into the water.

Minun, holding its breath, dives deeper under the water, and is obscured from Golduck's vision.

Minun swims out of no where hitting it with a thunder. Minun jumps out of the water onto a floating Plat form. Gold duck following.

Minun jumps at Golduck, bounding off of it. Minun uses a Thunder as he flips away.

Gold duck jumps away. "Gold Duck use bubble beam!" Gold duck turns to Minun shotting out large bubbles at Minun. Minun remembering his training shots out a thunder wave, working like a sheild. Then drops forward at Gold duck, letting out a Thunder. Pushing Gold Duck backwards.

"OK, Minun, try a Takedown/Thunderwave combo!" Lowell shouts to him. Minun jumps forward, attacking Golduck with a Takedown, and as he hits Golduck, releases a burst of electricity.

Gold Duck hits Minun to the side who lands on his feet. Minun charges again. Hitting Gold Duck with a thunder.

Minun takes a moment to prepare an attack. It charges up a powerful Thunder, then dives at Golduck and releases the attack.

The attack hits again. Gold duck falls down. KO'd "Crud, Return." Misty returns the pokemon. "Now go Staryu!"

Minun is excited to finish the battle. He charges towards Staryu, and unleashes another Thunderwave.

Staryu rolls to the side. Hitting Minun with a tackle. Minun attacks back with a Thunder hitting Staryu, who still managed to stand.

"Minun! Use Takedown on Staryu! Try to knock it into the water!" Lowell says. Minun charges towards Staryu...

Staryu is pushed back but takes Minun with him. Throwing both into the water. Minun flots to the bottom of the pool.

"Alright, Minun! Use Thunderwave to electrify the water!" Lowell says enthusiastically. Minun flashes briefly, then releases the stored-up electricity, causing the water to become electrified.

Staryu jumps back out of the water, the small gem at its center glowing. The pokemon lands still fighting.

Minun jumps and launches another Thunder, trying to hit the gem.

The attack hits. Staryu falls down KO'd. "Well looks like you win here." Misty tosses you the Water badge. "Congrats on your win."

"Thank you!" It was a good fight. Lowell takes the badge and adds it to his trainer card. "Know anything around the city that would be of interest to a trainer?"

"Vermilion City would be the place" Misty smiles. "Hope you have some rock pokemon with you."

"I'll be sure to get some." Lowell says as he turns to leave. "Goodbye, and thanks again!" Lowell leaves, and walks back to his house. He relaxes, eats dinner, and goes to bed.
