| It was a brilliant day. The horizon stood in all its glory for June's hazel eyes to take in. Psyduck cooed slightly. June raised one hand and patted the resting Pokémon that found the top of June's head home. Psyduck twitched slightly but not in discomfort. As June began his path, away from home, away from all that he once knew, he could not help but feel slightly bewildered. He had no plan, come to think of it. He had just grabbed his bag and some clothes. Psyduck had been still asleep so far all June knew the Pokémon still had no idea what was afoot. Not that he'd mind, June thought to himself. With all the luxuries of 'home' aside, June couldn't be happier. This was a chance to make his life, his own. And, as he had always done with his life, he was just going to go with it. See where life would take him. And Psyduck, of course. He knew his Nanny would lose hair from the stress she'd be in, for all June left was a note, but she was powerless to stop him. Many children had left their homes far before him to become trainers and the like. He laughed to himself slightly at this. The thought of actually being a Pokémon trainer had never really crossed his mind. Sure, he had Psyduck, however battling itself seemed unnecessary in his mind. Psyduck was his friend, and they'd never done such a thing before. However, he pondered, if push came to shove, he'd do what he must. The snoozing Pokémon may be lazy but June felt it could defend itself. And, of course, there was always the mystery of his parents...he tried to push the thought aside in his head. If they knew...well, they were far from one to speak. Hypocrites are far from beautiful. June had barely moved since he left his homes steps. Was it really that hard? This is what he wanted. What he needed to do. Closing his eyes slightly for a moment, then smiling to himself, June took a step towards the unknown and lost himself in the blue sea of the sky.
