Getting Ready for What's Ahead (Open)

Tsuru took in he scene around her with absolute wonder. The cries of various pokemon on route 1 had practically been music to her ears. She had yet to meet any other pokemon but was eager to meet some new pokemon or fellow trainers. She eventually found herself at the entrance to Viridian City and wandered through the small city. It wasn't much larger than Pallet Town, but there was more to see than back at home. There was a pokemon center, A pokemart and a gym but inside was dark and the doors locked.
After her self tour around the city, she sat by a nearby pond under the shelter of a tree and started planning her actions on what to do next while Effingo sat on her lap. "If we intend to get to the pokemon league we need more than just the two of us to be successful. I think the next gym specializes in rock so we should look for water and... grass pokemon." Tsuru ranted to her pokemon as it stretched in an easygoing manner. "We should at least train to prepare for a battle. Right?" Tsuru continued looking down at the ditto. Effingo glanced back and nodded before morphing its body into a ring and clamping itself around her finger.

While talking to her pokemon, a mysterious figure was approaching. It was a girl, most likely a trainer with a belt ful of pokeballs around her waist, and a serious scowl imprinted on her face. She walked over, and stopped a few feet away. Strange, what kind of person does that? She only sat there and looked at Tsuru. A raichu was standing beside her, looking at her even more intensly than her trainer, lashing her tail, and baing fangs. what was up with these two?

Tsuru got up from her spot and glanced around. Something was different from just a few moments ago, but what? Effingo seemed to have noticed it too and the ring twitched a bit to gain the attention of it's trainer. She then noticed a new girl with a pokemon beside her just staring intently at her. Tsuru stared awkwardly back for a moment, confused by the presence of the other trainer. "If you have something to say then say it." Tsuru demanded, mustering up some confidence to start a conversation.

The girl watched as Tsuru looked at her. She narrowed her eyes when she talked to her, then walked towards her silently, followed by her raichu, the only noise being the sound of footsteps. She stopped infrot of Tsuru, and smiled. "Hey, I'm Diesle! Are you new to this town?" Her raichu continued glaring...but that was just how she looked. The truth was, Diesle just wanted to check her bravery... but... for what reason?

Tsuru was taken aback by the the greeting after such an intense stare from both her Raichu and herself. "Um, I'm Tsuru, and yeah, first time out of Pallet." She replied. "Are passing by like me or do you live here?" Tsuru asked.

"Really? You're first time out of Pallet? That's awesome! Huh? oh, no, i dont live here," Diesle said. She looked behind her at her raichu, who was scowling. "Dont mind Lightning, she's a downer. We were just pasing by, too. Small world, eh?" She looked back at Tsuru and smiled again.

"I guess so..." Tsuru replied smiling back at Diesle. Tsuru looked over at Lightning and smiled, using all her will power not to immediately spring forward and hug the pokemon, she had only seen pictures of the pokemon in various books and magazines but this was a real raichu right in front of her, far greater than any picture. "So, judging from the number of pokeballs on your belt you are a more experienced trainer. That's so cool!" Tsuru exclaimed with admiration in her voice.

Diesle nodded at her. "Yeah. I have alot of pokemon with me that im training, and even more in the PC. Lightning is my partner, we're always together!" She looked at hre raichu and smiled, but her raichu only looked at her with a look that meant she'd heard this before. Her face had a bored expression painted over it, and her tail twitched slightly. "How many pokemon do you have? Do you have more than that ditto?" Diesle asked Tsuru, tilting her head slightly.

Tsuru's eyes shined as she imagined all the pokemon Diesle must have seen. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy towards the girl for getting to meet so many pokemon. She had to do just as well!
"Do you have more than that ditto?" The words snapped Tsuru out of her little daydream and she hesitated a moment before answering, "Well... I haven"t even really gotten to even see any pokemon aside from Effingo here, aside from a rattata but that didn't go over well." As she spoke she could have sworn she felt a grain or two of sand left in her eye from the sand attack and began to rub her eye.

::An alarmingly loud pokemon's cry interrupted the peaceful town, and a shadowed pokemon ran out of a bush, and fled to one side of the city, being chased by two other pokemon. All three are too far away and shadowed to see, but you can see that the one being chased is quite alarmed. All of the sudden you hear all the doors in the city lock, including the pokemon center. A fearful cry for help comes from a small alley, and . . .::




Will you help the chased pokemon, or flee at the sight of people locking up?::

The conversation was interrupted by the a distressing cry from a pokemon echoing between the buildings as it rushed into town tailed by two other pokemon. "What was that!?" She wondered aloud and turned to see the town's reaction to the arrival of the pokemon. "Guess there's only one way to fin out." Tsuru said rushing over to quench her curiosity. She looked back and shouted at Diesle "You can come too if you want but I'm going ahead." Unable to contain her eagerness and excitement, she made her way toward the commotion.
