History: Kurai lived with her adopted sister Aoiri in Lavender, and they got along very well, despite their differences. They were a formidable duo against any wild Pokemon they encountered. However, Aoiri left Lavender Town when she was old enough and began searching for a trainer. When Kurai heard her adopted sister had been captured by a trainer, she too went to search for that trainer so she and Aoiri would be together again.
