Viridian Forest... CLOSED

Karasu and Squirtle walked warily into the forest, conscientious of any danger that may be lurking in the thick foliage. "Do you think you would be ready if you were attacked by a grass-type?" Squirtle seemed unsure, but, like always, was eager to test his skills. "We will be in Pewter City soon, and our opponent there will be Brock. He uses rock-types, so as long as you have a few water type moves in your arsenal, you should do fine."

::You and squirtle seem to wonder for hours on end. Traveling a great distance as pokemon are scarce around you. That is until a bird flies into your path its wings flapping in the wind. It was a Pidgey strong and healthy and pelting toward you as fast as a bullet for it had seen you and your company and took defensive action against you.::

"Squirtle, dodge! At least it's not a grass type, this'll be good training for you!" Squirtle leaps out of the way, but is slashed in the torso by the Pidgey's talons. "Squirtle, use Tail Whip, followed by Tackle!" Squirtle, following his commands, whipped his tail into the air and begain rocketing towards the Pidgey.

::The tail whip effected the pidgey's defense and it looked like the tackle would hit as well, but at the last minute it flew up into the air making the squirtle miss it. As it flew forward with its own Tackle and hit injuring the squirtle now it was teh turtle's turn to run, attack, or other.::

"Alright, you did good, Squirtle, now try to dodge the Pidgey's attacks followed up by a Tail Whip! Keep repeating this, don't focus on attacking for now!" Squirtle followed the orders and focused fully on evading the Pidgey's attacks. He watched the Tiny Bird pokemon carefully and when it swooped, Squirtle dodged and flicked it's tail into the air. After a while Squirtle got the hang of this and barely lost energy after each dodge. "Good job! It looks like the Pidgey is getting tired!"

::The pidgey swooped down one last time this time hitting you and taking some life with it. The squirtle is hurt and uses tackle against the pidgey which is successful. It tries a gust attack on you as it flaps its wings and a gust of wind comes towards you.::

Squirtle braced itself for the attack but was knocked back by the rushing gale. "Another few Tackles should knock it out, aim for precision, a Pidgey's first instict when attacked by a land-based pokemon is to fly above it, so be ready for that!" Squirtle rushed towards the Pidgey, noticing any slight movement in it's wings.

OOC: Does Squirtle have a breeding move? Also do you play any of the DS games of Pokemon?

OOC: Uh...yeah sure it has a breeding move called "Confusion" and I did play the games on GameBoyAdvance I did own these games:
Pokemon Red, Ruby, Crystal, & Sapphire.

IC:
:: The pidgey was hovering above the ground after it had taken the attack to the Squirtle as it braced for the attack and was ready to move above it. the tackle came forward to the bird pokemon and at the last second it was about to fly higher, but was buffeted by the tackle now that it had been attacked it was the pidgey's turn and would do a perfect counter to the turtle pokemon. As it flew forward to meet him with the attack as it became almost a few seconds before it was to hit...::

OOC: Thanks, I have Blue, Yellow, Crystal, Ruby, Diamond, and soon to have Platinum. Also, what sources of information do you have for this? (Such as levels that moves are learned, TM/HMs, General Pokemon Information, etc...)

IC: Squirtle, instead of trying to dodge, dropped itself onto the forest floor with it's belly laying flat on it's ground. The wild Pidgey, now aware of Squirtle's plan rose up but skidded against the rough edges of Squirtle's hard shell. The Pidgey was not damaged much by this, but it's left wing was hindered due to the scrapes inflicted by the rough shell. Karasu was impressed by Squirtle's impromptu plan and yelled, "Good job, now take it down with a Tackle!" Squirtle rose up from the floor and barrelled down on the now temporarily incapacitated Pidgey.

::The pidgey was hurt and its left wing was failing it so it landed on the ground that was until it was barreled down by the Squirtle without a way to escape. It was hit fully by the attack and was now injured far from repair as it limped it countered with another Gust attack as the gale was created once more to damage the squirtle as it was standing on the ground.::

OOC: I use Bulbapedia (bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net), check it out if you want, it seems pretty helpfull.

IC: The gust seemed to be strong for this Pidgey in it's state, and it knocked Squirtle back towards a large rock. He slammed against it, and fell to the ground in pain, it's shell having cracked slightly from the impact. Both pokemon, nearly unable to move, slowly lifted themselves to their feet. Karasu noticed the young Squirtle's pain, and ran towards him. "Are you alright? You don't need to continue this, if you don't want to..." Squirtle slowly grinned, giving the sign that he was still eager to fight. "Your too injured, here, rest in your pokeball..." Before Karasu could open the pokeball, Squirtle knocked it back with it's tail. "Are you sure about this?" Squirtle nodded and walked slowly towards the Pidgey, who was now back on the ground, exhausted from the long battle. As it saw Squirtle coming, it quickly rose to it's feet. It used a weak Tackle, which hit Squirtle directly. Both of them cringed from pain. Squirtle gathered the rest of his energy and let loose a close-range Confusion attack on the weakened bird. Squirtle, having used up all of his energy, dropped to the floor and fainted. Karasu quickly returned him, and kneeled down to look at the Pidgey. It's injuries were extensive and it looked like it needed medical care for its wounds. Karasu, knowing that he had to take it to a Pokemon Center, took off an empty pokeball from a ring on his trainer belt, and gently dropped it on the wounded Pidgey.

IC:
::The pokeball lands on the injured pidgey gently pulling it inward into the ball as it lands on the ground shifting back and forth and a red light blinking. In the meantime you and Squirtle wait in patience to see if the pokemon would accept or deny and try to fight for its life out of the pokeball.

Finally after a long time of waiting the pokeball clicks and is silent you caught a Pidgey it is Female at Lv. 8 and knows the following attacks
Gust, Tackle, & Sand-attack.::

Karasu picks up the pokeball and attaches it to his trainer belt. "A flying pokemon... this doesn't stand a very good chance against any of Brock's pokemon, but it could help against Erika's grass-type pokemon." He stood up and continued towards Pewter City. "Next time I get the chance, I need to buy some more potions..."

::You continue your journey through the forest when you meet up with a Hoppip glding across and bumps into you.::

Karasu, startled for a moment, looks up and noticies the pokemon. "Hmm... A grass-type pokemon would be good for the Cerulean City Gym, yet I don't think either of my pokemon have enough energy to battle it, at the moment..." Karasu, dissapointed at the loss of a good pokemon, lets it float by and walks past it.

::The hoppip disappears and you keep on moving on through the forest and finally walk out finally out of the woods and on now not that far from the great city of Pewter where you could continue on the road to the Pokemon Center to revive your pokemon.::

IC: Karasu walks into Pewter City and looks around. He notices the Pokemon Center and Mart, and also the Gym where his first gym battle, and trainer battle, will take place. He continues to walk towards the Pokemon Center and walks inside.
