Catching a Pokemon outside of Pewter. CLOSED

Caleb recently left the Viridian Forest to find a grassy area where he could catch a grass type before taking on the Pewter gym. He was hoping his Squirtle could battle a grass type. He knew grass type moves were effective to a water Pokemon. He stood and waited for a Pokemon to come along...

::You finally find a pokemon it was a rattata it saw you and thought you wanted to battle and so it attacked into battle. The tiny rat rushed towards you and that as when Squirtle attacked back and the battle was under way.::

He sighed. Not a grass type. Maybe he should have caught that Paras in the forest. "Let's attack it with a Bubble!" Caleb said.

::Squirtle used bubble which hit the tiny rat as it countered with Tackle as it raced forward to attack the turtle it hit as well. Now both injured it was Squirtle's turn to counter with something hopefully to put this pokemon out.::

"Use a Bubble!" Caleb said.

::Squirtle took in air and unleashed it with bubbles of water escaping his mouth as they traveled at a speed towards the rattata as they hit him injuring it with each buble. It countered with another tackle as it came forward rushing the tiny turtle had moved thus making it miss and it was turn once again for the squirtle to attack except this time it might take this one out.::

"Squirt, use a Bubble!" Caleb shouted.

::Squirtle used a bubble attack and it came close to hitting, but the rattata escaped just barely and launched another tackle this time hitting, but it was injured and looked like it would keel over any second.::

"Come on Squirt, try to knock the Rattata out with a Bubble!" Caleb said.

::The bubble connects with the tiny rat and it keels over knocked out by the final attack that put it out of its misery. Squirt gains another level and you continue on your journey.::

He congratulated Squirt and continued to search for a Grass type Pokemon.

::You journey through looking far and wide for anything that would resemble a grass type pokemon. Until you se a flower that looked longer than usual. It seemed to of been moving it was a sunflora trying to pass itself off as a sunflower, but was failing for it had moved. It sees you and attacks in response.::

"Oh wow, a Sunflora!" Caleb exclaimed. He pulled out his Pokedex to learn more about the Pokemon. "SUNFLORA, the evolved stage of SUNKERN. It converts sunlight into energy. In the darkness after sunset, it closes it's petals and becomes still. It's first Grass type attack is ABSORB." the electronic tone of the Pokedex said. He folded the machine and stuffed it back into his bag. "So it's already evolved. This might be tough to catch." he said. But he was feeling up to a good challenge. He reached for a Pokeball that held Squirt inside it. He tossed the Pokeball into the air and a red beam shot to the ground and the Squirtle appeared. "Squirt, use Tackle!" Caleb said.

::Squirt lunges forward with speed and attacks with tackle which is effective as it hits injuring the grass pokemon. It doesn't like the attack that it had just been hit at itself as it counters with absorb as it draws life from the turtle pokemon and is transferred into the sunflora as it is ready for you to attack once more this time ready for something.::

OOC: Can Squirt do this following move? It's Withdraw and an attack mixed together.

IC: "Squirt, roll up in your shell and hurl yourself at the Sunflora!" Caleb said.

OOC: Like you had said the squirtle is at lv. 10 so he should be able to use withdraw!

IC:
::Squirt pulled himself inside the shell as he flung himself into the sunflower like pokemon folded into its shell turning around and round as if a frisbee. it connects once more with the sunflora. Sunflora counters with Razor Leaf as it throws leaves from itself with sharpened edges they fling towards the now unprotected squirtle who was out of its shell.::

OOC: Hope you don't get confused!

OOC: Not at all confused. Does the attack seem realistic? (Razor leaf vs. Bubble)

IC: Squirt quickly let out a long stream of bubbles that interfered in the way of the Razor Leaf. The leafs were stopped by the Bubble and floated to the ground. Squirt ran to the Sunflora to use a Tackle.

OOC: Just to say this, Sunflora wouldn't know Mega Drain or Giga Drain (My fave grass type moves) because only a Sunkern could learn those. But, I don't know how you want to role play Sunflora's moves and level. Usually, a trainer would want to start out with a basic Pokemon so it could learn the basic moves. Sometime's basic Pokemon learn better moves it you don't let them evolve so soon. ya know? so I might not catch it. But, you could always buy TM 19! (Giga Drain)

OC: Okay good and don't worry about hte sunflora that is my job okie-dok?

IC:
::Some of the leaves escape the stream of bubbles and hit leaving a tiny scratch on the smooth blue skin of the squirtle as it rushed towards the sunflora it was meet by an attack that connected sooner than his would of for it used Leech Life as it drained some life out of you as you still attacked and hit the sunflora. It used Absorb once more to gain some more energy from you.::

"Squirt, use Withdraw and hurl yourself at the Sunflora again!" he shouted.

::The squirtle lunges forward hidden in its protective shell hurling towards teh sunflora as it moved at the last second making squirtle miss her. As it uses Razor Leaf again as they fling forward to cut the tiny turtle.::

Squirt popped out of his shell and smiled. But he saw that he didn't hit the Sunflora. Squirt turned around only to see that leafs were flying towards him. The attack hit Squirt, and he fell down on the ground. Squirt was getting weak. "Squirt, get up..." Caleb said, trying not to sound so bossy to Squirt. Squirt stood up and used a Bubble attack on Sunflora.

::The sunflora was surprised to see that the squirtle was still able to attack as bubbles floated its way as each one hit digging a blow each bubble that had hit it. As it was growing weaker by the moment and by the hit. It gained some energy from the squrtle cause "leech life" was still in affect somehow.::

Squirt was getting weaker and weaker, but only had just a little bit of health to attack. It let out big sized bubbles at the Sunflora.

::You give Squirt a potion that you had picked up somewhere as he regains some health enough to do a new attack that might put this one out.::

He was glad he bought the ItemFinder and found the Potion when he did. Squirt was ready to fight some more. "Use a Bubble near the Sunflora's face so you might blind it!" Caleb said.

::You succeed in blinding the sunflora, but it also hurts it so much that it keels over knocked out from the attack. Squirt was glad that it had been over for he was tired from the fight. You are surprised that the attack KO'd the pokemon and squirt earns a level for defeating the sunflora for it took him a lot of strength to defeat it for it wa sa grass pokemon.::

OOC: Knocked out? What do you mean by knocked out? Can I still catch it? I wanted a Sunflora...Can I still catch it with a Pokeball or is it just my bad luck??

OC: Yeah gime a sec!

IC:
::The sunflora has only an inch of energy left barely enough to do any kind of attack to protect or defend itself as you and squirt stand there awaiting for something to happen next.::

OOC: yay, thanks!

IC: Caleb pulled out a Pokeball out of his bag and tossed it in an arcing line near the Sunflora. It bounced off it's petals and sucked it into the ball. It fell to the ground. Caleb and Squirt stood there waiting to see if they caught it or not.

::The pokeball shifts around on the ground with its blinking red light blinking as it doesn't take long til it finally clicks signaling taht the sunflora hadn't put up much of a fight. As it sits still on the ground you go forward to pick it up.::

::Sunflora Female Lv. 10 and knows these attacks Razor Leaf, Absorb, Growth, and finally Leech Life::

"Good job Squirt! We caught a Sunflora!" Caleb shouted. He returned Squirt back to his Pokeball to rest. "I think I need to give her a nickname..." Caleb said as he thinks. After a while, he comes up with a name. "Flora." he says. He knows it isn't much of a nickname, but he likes it. He makes his way to a Pokemon Center to fully heal his new Sunflora, and Squirt.
