Training Before the Caves CLOSED

Lowell runs out into an open area near Pewter City. "Before we go through the caves, we should do some training first!" He says to his Pokemon as he releases them. "Let's practice attacks now! Poliwag, use Bubble Beam!"

Poilwag lets out a large bubblebeam at your comand.

"Nice work Poliwag! Wartortle, you use Mega Kick on that tree! Minun, Thunderwave those rocks!" Lowell yells contentedly.

Your pokemon do as you say. Soon Wartortles kicks become stronger, Minun's thunder wave becomes more powerfull letting Minun bend and twist the move to his likings. Poilwag quickly gains a level and is now Lv. 6. What is your next command?

"Awesome, let's see if we can use combo moves. Wartortle and Poliwag, use Water Gun; Minun, use Thunderbolt and try to hit the water; hopefully it will super-charge the electricity!"

The attack works turning it into larger bolts of thunder. Literaly taking over the water.

Lowell is excited. "Great job, guys! See if you can use that combo attack to crack that boulder there!" Lowell points to a boulder about five feet thick, 20 feet away.

Wartortle and Poilwag let out the attack and Minun finishes it. The attack blasts a clear hole through the large rock.

"Great job!" Lowell is ecstatic. "That was an awesome attack. Minun, see if you can get that tree over there to catch fire. Use Thunderwave. Then, Wartortle, Poliwag, you guys put it out with Water Gun!"

Minun closes his eyes. Letting the sparks to dance around the tree. Till smal flames start up, slowly liting the tree on fire. Quickly Wartortile and Poilwag set it out.

"Good work. Now, let's see if we can get some faux-thunderstorms going. Wartortle, you use Water Gun to make the ground damp; Poliwag, you use Bubble Beam to create bubbles in the air; Minun, use Thunderwave, and see if you can get the sparks to dance between the bubbles and the ground. This might be kind of difficult, but try your best!"

Soon the ground is wet and the bubbles rise into the air. Minun again lets out a thunderwave. The sparks again start to dance around to air. Soon it becomes so strong some of the bubbles pop from the electricity

Lowell is giddy with excitement. "Awesome work! Minun, try splitting that tree in half with Thunderbolt; Wartortle and Poliwag, use Water Gun to wash those pebbles down that hill!"

Wartortle noddes. Both of the water pokemon do what that you had said. While Minun worked on spliting the trees. So far all he could do was split it half way down the middle. Wartortle soon moves onto boulders instead of pebbles. Poilwag qickly joins him.

"Keep up the good work. Wartortle, Poliwag, see if you can carve a small stream using Water Gun and the rocks. Only a few meters long." Lowell says, working hard to advance his Pokemon.

Quickly Poilwag gains another level. Hes now at level 7. Minun finally lets lose a large blast of thunder spliting the tree clean in half. Thunder bolt has been upgraded to Thunder! Wartortile begins carving the stream Poilwag by his side.

"Great job, Poliwag! Good leveling up!" Lowell encourages his Pokemon in their tasks. "Nice attack, Minun! Good job with the stream so far, Wartortle! Just a couple more meters!"

Wartortlie nodded. learning he can spread out his water gun or direct it into one spot. Poilwag continues with his stream. Minun continues spliting trees finally moving onto rocks.

"Great job! Before we move on, one more activity: use any attacks or abilities you want, and focus your energies into fully breaking that boulder into small rocks!" Lowell says.

Wartortle desides to use headbutt quickly bursting a large boulder. Poilwag uses water gun. Spliting the rock, and after many times destroyes the rock. Minun uses thunder shattering the rock like glass.

"You guys did awesome!" Lowell comes over to them happily. "I'll make sure to buy you some treats when we get back to town." Lowell looked at his watch and saw it was almost 6 o'clock. "Hmm...Too late to go to Cerulean tonight. We'll rest 'til tomorrow, then we'll leave." Lowell returned his Pokemon to their Pokeballs, then walked back towards the city.
