"Well, for Vermillion City, I think I'd like to train Bonsley and Riolu. since Bonsley is a rock type, and Riolu has powerful attacks." Lowell releases the Pokemon from their Pokeballs. "I'd like Bonsley to level up a bit, for sure."

She noddes. "Well it would be best to have Bonsly train with water pokemon, same for Riolu."

"That's why I came here." Lowell says. "Think you can help me toughen them up?"

"Sure thing!" She pulls out a pokeball. "Go Gold duck!"

"OK Bonsley, your turn first! Use Mega Kick!" Lowell says. Bonsley jumps forward and attacks...

Gold Duck moves to the side. "Use water Gun Gold Duck!"

Bonsly flips over the Water Gun, and lands with a thud. He quickly runs towards Golduck, then uses another Mega Kick.

Gold Duck Ducks under the attack. When Bonsly lands Gold Duck lets out another water gun.

Bonsley is hit and thrown into the water. He jumps out and shakes about, trying to dry himself. Once he is successful, he stands ready for another command. "Bonsley, try using Rock Throw!" Lowell says. Bonsley lifts rocks into the air and whips them at Golduck.

Gold Duck is hit and is thrown back. The pokemon sends out another water gun.

Bonsly uses Rock Throw again, the rocks deflecting the Water Gun. Bonsly charges, and tries to use Takedown on Golduck.

Gold duck jumps over Bonsly and sends out a bubble beam

Bonsly is hit by the Bubblebeam and falls, pretty shaken up. He manages to get up, and continues fighting, attacking with a Mega Kick.

Gold Duck is hit by the attack. The pokemon counters back with a tackle, that Bonsly avoids by jumping to the right.

As Bonsly jumps away, he uses another Rock Throw attack. The rocks zoom towards Golduck...

Gold Duck is hit hard in the head by the attack, KOing it. Bonsly is now Lv. 14 Gold Duck was level 15.

"Rest Gold Duck."

"Good work, Bonsly. You can rest too." Lowell returns Bonsly to his Pokeball. "Ready for another round?" Riolu stands by Lowell, anxious to battle.

"Yep, Go Starmie!" Misty has her large star pokemon by her side.

"Go Riolu! Do your stuff!" Riolu jumps forward, and attacks Starmie with a Shadow Claw.

Starmie avoids the attack and counters with water gun.

Riolu takes the attack, but retaliates with a Focus Punch.

Starmie is hit hard but uses another watergun on Riolu.

Riolu jumps over it, and lands on a floating platform. "Riolu, use Shadow Claw!" Lowell says. Riolu attacks!

The attack hits, Starmie flys back and shots out a large water gun again.

Riolu is pushed into the water by the Water Gun. As Starmie follows, Riolu charges forward, attacking with Focus Punch.

Starmie flys back but counters with bubble beam.

Riolu jumps to his right, and uses Focus Punch on Starmie, trying to hit the gem.

Starmie rolls across the ground. KO'd. Riolu grows to Lv. 18. Misty returns her pokemon. "Well, I think there ready for the next gym battle."

Lowell returns Riolu to his Pokeball. "I think so too." He nods to Misty. "Thanks again for helping me train them!" Lowell exits the Gym and heads back home, after a quick snack, he goes to sleep early so he can get a fresh start in the morning...
