In Cerulean City...

Lowell rides his bike back home, where he and his Pokemon get a quick snack. He checks the clock. 2:30 PM. I still have time to face the Gym Leader. Lowell thinks. Maybe I'll find one more trainer to practice with before I do. So Lowell heads out of his home and walks out of the city, looking for trainers to battle.

You travel through the city, surprissing you that you can't find any trainers. You continue your walk and find a small pokemon running through a near by park by itself. When it turns around you find it to be a Riolu. A rare pokemon.

"What is that?" Lowell asks out loud. His Pokedex answers the question: A Riolu. "From Sinnoh? How did it get here...Well, I guess I'll try and catch it! Wartortle, come on out and use Water Gun!"

The pokemon jumps over the attack and charges Wartortle with shadow claws in a fast combo. Wartortle dodges most but is hit in the stomach by the last attack. The pokemon does a back flip landing on its feet waiting for the next move.

This Pokemon is pretty tough. "Wartortle, use Mega Kick!" Lowell says.

Riolu ducks avoiding the attack. It rolls under Wartortle and spring forward with a takedown, Wartortle uses water gun to push the pokemon back.

"Wartortle! Use Withdraw and spin at Riolu!" Lowell tells Wartortle.

Wartortle hits Riolu but Riolu does a backhand spring before attacking wartortle with shadow claw.

Wartortle counters the Shadow Claw with mega Kick, and collides with Riolu in mid-air.

Riolu rolls across the ground pushing it back to its feet. It runs back at Wartortle with take down.

"Wartortle! Use Water Gun!" Wartortle nods and jumps forward, releasing the attack at Riolu.

The attack hits but Riolu again charges back. This time jumping onto a tree before springing at Wartortle with a Shadow Claw. Hitting Wartortle back.

Wartortle is flipped over but manages to land on his feet. "Wartortle, keep it going, use another Mega Kick!" Lowell commands. Wartortle charges at Riolu...

Riolu is hit but again charges, jumping upward and then charging forward with another shadow claw. Wartortle jumps back at attacks with headbutt. Riolu is hit but hits back with takedown.

Wartortle charges and rams into Riolu as he uses his Takedown, knocking them down. Wartortle gets up and uses a Mega Kick on Riolu.

The attack hits again, Riolu jumps forward and hits wartortle with Shadow Claw.

Wartortle is wounded. He hits the ground hard, but manages to get up. "You alright, Wartortle?" Lowell asks. Wartortle nods. "If you're sure, then use Water Gun again!"

Riolu is hit rolling across the ground. Baddly beat up. The pokemon runs back at Wartortle with a fouces punch.

Wartortle uses Withdraw, and bounces away as the attack hits. He gets up again, and attacks Riolu with a Headbutt.

Riolu rolls back this time has a harder time getting up. It looks back at Wartortle almost to weak to stand.

"Wartortle! Use one more Mega Kick on it!" Lowell says. "Then I'll catch it with a Great Ball!"

The attack hits and Riolu rolls across the ground. You throw the great ball. It hits and begins the move before a click is heard. You have caught Riolu, Its LV. 16, knows Takedown, Fouces Punch, Shadow Claw and Agility.

Lowell picks up the Pokeball happily. "Great work, Wartortle!" he says. Lowell walks over to the Pokemon Center to heal Wartortle.
