In the beginning there was nothing.....

::Tangela waits staying rooted to teh spot as the health returns to her. Soon she is fuly healed and is now unrooted as the roots break from the ground and you adn her go find other friends somewhere else!

Calibretto: " Excellent work tangela. Stay rooted for a short bit and recover your lost energy. Soon we'll begin our search. "


-= For a few minutes tangela sat recovering her energy, but was quickly back to tip top shape and bouncing around next to calibretto as they began down their path out of town and into the wild. =-


Calibretto: " Im definatly going to have to find you a friend .... a ditto could be increadibly useful, and a great ally. Keep an eye out for one, if you can. "

-= And without returnning tangela to her pokeball the pokemon and trainer walked off into the wild ready for adventure. =-

::The tangela's root slammed the cyndaquil to the ground as it tried to get out of the grasp and was succesful, but from all ofthat struggling and getting thrashed it fell to the ground it had been worked to the bone and had no other energy left to battle with as it fainted. "Dah! Oh well you did your best Cineder!" as he took out the pokeball adn returned the fire pokemon to the pokeball. "Well you where able to beat me, but there will be even stronger ones than i am!" as he give s you 250 for winnning as you add to your own money. As the trainer rushed to the Professor's lab to revive his pokemon to health to try with other pokemon trainers. And you leave for the wild beyond this city!::

Calibretto: " Alright tangela, its time to end this battle. Using your ingrain slam him into the nearby rocks, and smash him into the ground. "

-= Tangela stops shaking and snaps to attention immediatly. The soft green glow surrounds her again and the root holding cyndaquil becomes active again. It thrash's around attempting to slam cyndaquil into anything and everything nearby with extreme speed and deadly force. And just like every other round before it , tangela seems to be doing just a little bit better. The green aura that shows when she controls the roots is also healing a little bit of her damage as she continues thrashing cyndaquil.=-

::As cyndaquil was still being held by the root that had ahold of him stil he felt the violent shake of it and saw the moving back and forth. It was fascinated by the dust that came from the Tangela as it drifted up towards him. As it began to fill him his eyelids began to drift and his head was going down as it tried to stay awake as it yawned opening its mouth. He kept on bobbing its head forward and backward until finally without any more adu that it feelllasleep he submitted to the slep poder as he slumbered making a noise from it adn its flames went inside its body.::

Calibretto: " Your doing good tangela, the ingrain is definatly making sure the damage you receive is healed somewhat, it will definatly give us the advantage. Its time for a different tactic though, what do you say we let abit of powder fly hm? "

-=Tangela made a giddy noise as if she was being tickeld for just a moment, it seems that tangela understood exactly what he meant. Calibretto took a few steps backwards and grinned. Tangela withdrew all the roots except the one holding cyndaquil. She then began to rock slightly to the left and right , slowly at first but picking up speed, it looked almost like she was trying to shake something off and suddenly a cloud of blue sparkly dust began spewing forth , some of it in the air around tangela, most of it jetting directly around the cyndaquil trapped by the root. The powder seem'd to fill the entire battle field, even comming dangerously close to the trainers.=-

(OOC: The blue powder is sleep powder)

::As the vines beat the smoke out of the way Cyndaquil was quickly devising a way to change its tactics cause they hadn't talked aobut if that had happened. Finally the smoke was cleared and he was on the riht out ofthe way of all, but one vine as it tried to get away, but was grabbed by the vine as it raised him upwards in the air he didn't like, but then the vine slammed him downwards in a hard blow. Although it didn't do as much as Tangela wanted.

Finally at letting him go it was now Cyndaquils turn eventhough its health had been shortened by about half. Still he wanted to get the last move and so it used Ember as the little flames inched forward to hopefully aid in the burning of the tangela. As it passed through the vines and hit them as well as the tangela itself making it lose some health and now from both fire attacks had been burned minorly.::

Calibretto: " Well, that gets old. Fast. Tangela, its time to remove the smokescreen, and his hiding place. Use the vines, fast and hard. The instant you see him, entangle him. "

-= The vines that were already out begin flailing about in almost a propeller like motion and then slamming them selfs down to the ground, then back up and spinning around just to slam down again. This continues very quickly and as each root twirls the wind around them begins kicking harder and harder, pulling large portions of smoke into the air and dispersing it. Once the smoke is sucessfully thin the roots retreat underground and tangela seems almost giddy. The root that is infront of tangela extends only slightly in size , now reaching to a maximum of 10 feet in length but coiled down and around so to beable to bat away any oncomming attack. Twin roots of twice the normal thickness , and much longer length come jetting out of the ground in cyndaquils general location and began rapidly trying to grasp him. Other roots nearby begin comming out as he moves in an attempt to grasp and entagnle cyndaquil.=-

::Cyndaquil was a little surprised cause it didn't know about this little ability the frist couple vines had caught him off guard, butthe rest the fire pokemon caught on and started dodging them. Once again it was his turn. Once again it had done Smokescreen hiding himself in the fog once more hoping this time it would be like last time and hide him well.::

-=Calibretto grins slightly and with a nonchalante step back he calls to tangela=-
Calibretto: " Alright, now we can see what else ingrain can do. Tangela, strike! "

-= Tangela's green aura blazed stronger for just a moment and the ground began to tremble, 5 thick roots as thick around as human arms fired out from the ground with amazing speed, one infront of tangela, three directly infront of cyndaquil and one directly beneith him as he ran. The one below him came punching forward in an attempt to fling it into the air, the three in front began whipping around in a grasping motion and the one thick vine infront of tangela was whipping around defensivly batting away anything that got near him.=-

(OOC: I didnt want to post it ACTUALLY connecting because that would be rude, ill let you decide if it suprised him enough to hit or not)

::The trainer was actually smiling about the fact cause hehad already known somethings about Tangela and so was ready and so was Cyndaquil. As it grew offly silent and the smoke just hung in the air like a fog. You see something on the right side of the tangela coming forward as if it was a small wall of fire it had used "Fire Blast" which his trainer had given him the TM as it came forward cutting through the smoke blazing a trail directly to the Tangela it was smaller than usual, but that didn't mean that it still didn't have the same effect to it!::

Calibretto: " Smokescreen, interesting. Alright. Tangela, ingrain, plant yourself! "

-= Tangela's feet disappeared into the ground as it seems to be rooting itself , its body begins to glow a vibrant green aura about it as the ground begins to shake slightly. Little bit by little bit tangela's body is now constantly regenerating.=-

Calibretto: " Alright. The wonderful thing about ingrain, is its constant healing , but it has another special application.... We'll let you see that soon enough. "

-=Tangela's vines begin squirming a little in anticipation, it sits ready for the oncomming attack as it peers into the smoke , almost as if it was looking directly at the cyndaquil hiding, it gives off almost a creepy stare. Both trainer and pokemon await cyndaquils move. =-

::The trainer saw that it was a gras type so he knew that he had some ofan advantage for of course his cyndaquil was young-ish, but he did know a couple fire attacks. Mostly cause of breeding and rough training of course! As a smile widened across his face, "Yes! he is young, but don't judge pokemon by their covers!" For he himself had stepped away from the cyndaquil on the sideline of the battlefield first before he had given his pokemon a silent pep talk to hard for even you to hear. Finally now that he was away from his pokemon. "Alright Cinder we've been granted iththe first move let's start it out with a Smokescreen!" As it did no the field was covered by a thick smoke hiding the cyndaquil's true position making it hard to sense for they had perfected their tactics from thelast batle which the trainer had been givingthe peptalk about!::

Calibretto: " Big talk."

-=With that, and nothing more, Calibretto lifted the hand holding tangela's ball and with a flick of the wrist the ball leaps into the air with a torrential whirl that stops in mid spin when the ball opens and a leap of lightning jumps out releasing the pokemon within. The ball bounces back into Calibretto's hand and Standing infront of him is what appears to be a bush of nothing but hundreds of blue vines mangled and clumped into a tight ball. The vines shivver a little and seem to expand slightly as the vines slither around a little. Two eyes deep within the mass seem to "pop" open in a glare at the opponents infront of it. A few vines seem to slither out of the mass abit, almost like snakes peeking out of a bush to see whats going on, but they retreat quickly back inward almost in anticipation.=-

Calibretto: " Tangela. It seems we have our first battle. Try not to be too disappointed, i know he doesnt seem to be much, but maybe he can put up a fight worth having. Either way, the battle should hopefully prove facinating and informative."


-= Taking a step back Calibretto distances himself from Tangela so that it might better prepare. As if on cue the tangle of vines begins to move slowly back a step or two , then forward a step or two, and then back a step or two to settle, its vines begin subtle movements as it readies itself , eyes locked on Cyndaquil ready to react at a moments notice. =-


Calibretto: " By the pattern of flames flickering from its back i would say your Cyndaquil is rather young, maybe a little inexperienced. This is good. It will put our pokemon on a level playing field. And while Cyndaquil may be fire type, i would venture a guess it hasnt quite mastered its flame attacks yet. This at least may prevent tangela from experiening any unneccisary burns. Alright Tangela be ready, but lets allow our opponents the first move shall we?"


((OOC: I forgot to ask, but my tangela, is it male or female?))

::As you walk towards where the path lead from blacktop to dirt you come ever so closer to your enemy the person whom was leaning against the rails of a fence a blue hat swinging around a single finger and keeping it on that same finger. He was wearing a blue denim jacket and the hat a blue witha patch of white; his pants where blue jeans andhis hair brown eyes blue and a shirt of sky blue. At the moment his eyes where down towards the street as he kept on swinging thehat around his finger. Finally you pass him as you hear "So your going out into the world of theunknow? Cause if you are You'll have to go against me to get there!" As he pushed off of the fence and you hear something behind you "Cynda! Quil!"

His eyes looked into your as he was wondering what your decision was his stare was cold and his stance never moving at his feet was the little Cyndaquil as he said again "So you gonna battle or go running backto momma or something like that?" He said with rudeness cause that was how he acted to the other trainers that bumped into him and his sister was aboutthesame!

(Not Gary, but thesame feel and look on things!)

-=Taking a firm grip on the pokeball Calibretto's stature appears to remain nonchalante, his movements however come to an immediate stop. His head cocks slightly to the side as he peers at the figure leaing against the railing, the dead silence as motionless as an undisturbed pond as he listens all around him for any sign of danger. Firm grip on tangela's pokeball he begins walking again at the same pace as before towards the exit, the entire time keeping an eye on the figure at the railing and an ear out for whatever may or may not be sneaking up from behind. =-


(OOC: Sorry the posts are abit on the small side.... just choosing not to react yet, playing it out and letting things happen before i take action)

::YOu start traveling down thepath to where most of the trainers go to start their journey. Except just like everyone they meet up with somekind of disturbance. Your shoes echo off the dirt as it gets quiet as an eerie feelingstarts to rise on your back as if someone was watching or behind you. The wind still continued and the sun still hung between the clouds, but that same weird presence hung on you like a hanger on a coat. Seeing the main entrance andexit to town you get closer and closer, but you see somthing beside it it looks like someone was leaning against a fence back resting onthe rails and playing with a blue cap you still feel the presence of someone or something was behind you, but what was it you wonder?::

The air is crisp and the sun is peeking out behind the clouds. A wind picks up and gusts around the doorway of the lab's doorway as it flings open and Calibretto steps out. With a slow but confidant walk he steps out into the sun and takes in a deep breath of the crisp air. With nothing more than abit of a stretch he makes a quick glance around the town with only abit of nostalgia and then turns immediatly towards the stretch of road that leads out of town. Only a few moments pass before he's put a little distance between himself and the lab. Backpack flung over his shoulder, pokedex firmly in his breast pocket, he fiddles calmly with the pokeball containing his tangela as he strides with slow confidance down the path.

Calibretto: "Well, it seems ill be taking my research and studies on the road. So many pokemon out there, so much data to collect. So much to see, so much to do. -sigh- No time like the present"

And with that, a new journey has begun.
