In search of back up! (CLOSED)

Donovon and Trapinch rush into a field thick with tall grass, looking for a pokemon to battle. Trapinch sniffed the air and looked all around. While Donovon walked through the grass in random patterns. Then suddenly out of no where a rustle was heard by both Trapinch and Donovon. The two looked at the patch of grass that rustled Donovon commanded,"Trapinch use Secret Power ASAP!". As Trapinch attacked the grass blindly and hit something and waited for the creature to strike back.

OOC: You can make it whatever pokemon you want suprise me. :-)

At what seemed like the last second Donovon shouted," Trapinch use Protect and when it tries back off follow it up with Sand Tomb!". Trapinch let out a small yell as it generated a protective force fielld absorbing the rattatas tackle. Immediately after Trapinch made a wall of sand surrounding himself and rattata, which quickly closed in around rattata in an attempt to squeeze the life out of it.

Ooc:sorry had some computer trouble.

Trapinch grunted in a slight wince of pain as the rattatas teeth coinnected. Inraged Trapinch let out what sounded like a small roar as it jumped back to gain some distance. Donovon then shouted, " Trapinch use one last Secret Power and don't hold back any thing!". Trapinch did as directed and charged the purple foe with a small glowing light surroundig it's body.

Donovon with a slight grin across his face congratulated Trapinch on his first victory over a wild pokemon. Eventhough Donovon was so happy Trapinch did not seem to have quite left battle mode. Unsatisfied by the weak effort put forth by the rattata Trapinch again began to search the tall grass for a worthy foe.
In every direction possible Donovon ordered Trapinch to attack. Donovon and Trapinch never even for one moment stopped the two were on a mission for a new ally and would not settle for failure in this mission. Over and over Trapinch used Secret Power on everyrhing in sight whether it was a rock, a patch of grass, a tree, or a bush Trapinch attacked with the same intensity.
Until finally another Secret Power connected with a pokemon shrouded in tall grass, but this pokemon was differnet it held its ground and made Trapinch bounce back a little after attacking it.

OOC:Again you can make it what ever pokemon you want to it's more fun that way.

Still a little shooken up from the Machops strength Trapinch glared at what seemed to be a rival worthy of his power. Trapinch on his own readied for a Sand Tomb as if he knew before hand to do so. Donovon saw that this pokemon was much more powerful than the last and he grinned a grin that looked as senister as that of a rocketeer. In what sounded almost as a whisper Donovon said only these words, " Sand Tomb". Those two words were just enough Trapinch growled as sand began to surround himself and his opponent and let out a low runt as the sand began to close in on the Machop in a spiral of sand.

As the flame covered punch dealt damage Trapinch cried out in pain. Grinding his teeth Donovon tried to think of a counter attack. Then out of nowhere a brand new idea popped in his head. Donovon then said calmly,"Trapinch hold your ground and let the Machop come to you, then use Protect to surround both you and Machop, further orders will be given". Trapinch looked worried he had never heard Donovon talk in such a serious way before. Also the two had never attempted a move like this ever. Though scared Trapinch trusted his partner held his round and waited for his opponents attack.

As far as Donovon could see Machop was as powerful as Trapinch, maybe even stronger, this put a large toothy grin on the face of Donovon as he reached for a pokeball. He held a black-spray painted pokeball straight in front of him then exclaimed, "Trapinch let's finish this battle right now and let us make this Machop our new ally!". Trapinch with its forever blank expression let out a small grunt as if saying it agreed with his partners words. Donovons grin soon turned into a focused glare as he orders Trapinch to use Secret Power on the Machop with every last bit of power it has. As Trapinch rushes towards the wild Machop Donovon readies a pokeball for capture.

Donovon immediately calls Trapinch back after it takes the Cross Chop attack. Donovon then pokeball in hand rushes towards the wild Machop. Donovon then swings his arm back then releases the pokeball towards the wild Machop in an attempt to capture it. While throwing the pokeball Donovon shouts out, "You're Mine!".

As the pokeball ceased to shake and flash Donovon began to slowly crack a smile. He walked over to the small orb containing his newly obtained pokemon. As he reached for the ball his trusty Trapinch quickly came to his side, looking directly at the ball that laid before them. When Donovon finally did grasp the black pokeball he held it up high to the sky and then quickly unleashed his new partner from it's black pokeball. As Machop popped out of the pokeball it let out a small battle cry, then turned to its new owner. Donovon extended his hand to the tiny muscle bound pokemon, as the Machop steadily watched Donovon. Donovon calmly said, "Welcome to the team", and patted his newest partner on his head. Machop hopped up and down and repeated its own name a few times. He then called over his Trapinch and said, "Time to go guys. I have a couple more pokemon on my to get list". As Donovon said this his evil grin returned as he headed of to improve his team in preparation for his Gym Battle with Brock, but even more importantly his aspiration of becoming a powerful member of the Elite Four.

IC: Donovon and his team leave the field area and heads toward Pewter City. With nothing else on his mind but a total victory over the city's Gym Leader, and more over his goal of becoming a member of the Elite Four.
