New Potential CLOSED

John and his friendly pokemon check out of the motel and pay what they owe for staying in the room for the couple nights. They leave saying thanks to the clerk. He and Flame head towardthe pokemon gym where they intend on giving it their best and whatever may come to them they'd take with pride. John gets to the door of thegym and says out loud. "I wish to have an challenge the Gym Master in order to recieve the Boulder Badge!" He called

Brock, the gym leader is seen at the back of the gym but hears your challenge. "I accept your challenge!"

OOC: So you go against Brock on the first try no little trainers to go against? I wonder cause that's what happens in the game, but oh well.

John heads to the back of the gym where brock is and looks at the terrain and knew at once that he'd use Rock Pokemon. So he was ready for the obvious. "Okay then I"m here let's get ready to batle then if you wish to answer my challenge." He said as Flame was at his heels.

OCC: yeah I never liked those trainers. >< they wasted so much time.

Brock grabs a pokeball from his pocket. "Geodude I chose you!" He sends out the rock pokemon and waits for your turn.

John saw the Geodude explode out of the pokeball with immense power. it loked powerful, but water can do wonders against a rock pokemon. He grabs out Sea's pokeball and was just about to release her out to duel, but Flame rushed before he could call her out. "Flame NO! come back!" He said, but Flame wanted to test his potential first. "Okay then, but don't let me tell you I told you so!" He said as he decided he'd start wth Flam, but Sea was on deck. Flame was powered, energetic and ready to show his stuff and how he can battle.

John was thinking in his head "He better not get arrogant and cocky on this battle" As he said this the battle started Brock would start it off first.

"Geodude! use rock throw!" The geodude goes a head with the attack and tosses mutiple rocks at Flame.

Flame barely dodges the Rock Throw and attacks with Rage his blood starts to boil and his temper gets the best of him. He attacks the Geodude with force of a Graveler. Hopefully the attack will bring the opponent down in energy.

Geodude is hit hard by the attack and rolls back. "Geodude! Use Defence curl!" The rock pokemon turns into a ball and gains some extra defence to help in this fight.

"Huh? Defense curl huh?" Flame thought he then tried his best with Fire as he opened his mouth to produce a flame that carried across to the Geodude. it was hot and the flames burned across the rock, but it wasn't doing that much effect against it.

Geodude gets out of the defence curl and attacks with tackle.

He got buffeted by the attack and found out that fire did little to no effect. He ound out that ground attacks would be the only thing he could do. He countered with Scratch scraping his claws at the gravily surface which was rock. Flame was determined to win, but situations can happen.

Geodude is hit but is barly hurt and uses another rock throw.

This time the attack struck home weakening Flame ever so slowly. He decided to use Rage once more thankfully the rage was alread siring his blood and was ragin ever so since the last rage attack. He struck now with the force of a wild Tauros. John witnessing this spectacle was thankful that Flame had gone first for he was establishing the strength of Brock's pokemon.

The attack hits, with so much fource that the Geodude is smashed clean through a rock. KOing the pokemon. Brock returns the Geodude and Flame gains 2 lv.

"Onyx! I choose you!" The gym leader lets out the large rock snake, waitting for what you would do next.

Flame is matched against this giant snake made out of pure rock and he knew that the only thing that culd hit it that high would be fire and he knew that was not going to effect at all. So he stepped backwards signaling to John that he was done and wanted to switch. He gets the message and still with Sea's pokeball in hand he thre it outward calling out "Sea come on out!'" A healthy Horsea appeared in the sea of rocks surrounding the terrain making it easy for Rock, but difficult for her to do. Quickly John calls out "Sea use Bubblebeam quick!" She takes careful aim and draws in the air to make the bubbles and spits them aiming for the ONyx's head. Both hoping to hit it squarly where they where targeted.

The rock pokemon ducks under the attack and uses tackle.

Horsea moves just at the last second and barely gets past the attack. She counters with Hail making a hailstorm start inside the gym. The attack wasn't easy to deflect or dodge for it was a hailstorm. Dark clouds swam around and drops of cold, hard, white rocks come pelting from the cloud above hitting anything in site.

OOC: Hope i'm not overstepping any boundaries?

OCC: nah. lol hail's fine, since you could do it in the games.

Onyx rears back then uses another tackle at Sea.

It hits this time injuring Sea she lost som energy from that, but thankfully she had help from the hail attack. She got back up and used Water Gun aiming once more for the Rock snake. This time she aimed for anything upon the opponent hoping to injure it to a point of bringing it down which was far from that, but she oped.

The attack hits and the rock pokemon moves away from the attack before it could do to much damage.

Sea awaited to see what the big pokemon would do next for she wanted to be ready just in case she was going to hit by something else.

Insteed of another tackle, the rock snake uses Iron Tail, swigging it quickly at Sea.

Sea ducks just in the niche of time the tail swishes over er creating a breeze as it shifted past. Instead it hit a rock which was apart of the gym setup. She uses Bubblebeam again hoping that this time it will drive home. She takes careful aim and just wallops it right at its face hoping to make its eyes singe fro the water.

Bubble Beam its causing the onyx to jerck back and let out a cry. The rock pokemon attacks with another Iron Tail.

Finally one of his attacks hits home catching Sea totally offguard and got hit badly, but not to the point of critical. She was buffeted and thrown back a couple fee, she got up and was ready to battle once again. The hail continues to pelt upon them hurting the ONyx, but aiding Sea. She used Water Gun hoping to hit Onyx once more she knew that it was getting hit badly as well as here, but who was injured more? who knows as they go on with this batle it is a mystery for both.

The Onyx was hit by the water gun, and falls down. KOd. Brock returns his pokemon and sighs. "Here you earned it." he reachs into his pocket and hands you the boulder badge.

John held the badge aloft to show Sea of what she had aided him in doing and Sea jumped in jy for her success. They awaited to see what else Brock had to say just in case he had anything else for them.

OOC: Hey question how much did they get for winning and how many levels did sea recieve. Also in some of the games you got a TM is that going to happen or ...?

Brock sad nothing else for he had nothing else to say he had been beat. So John and Flame bothheadedfor the pokecenter. For him and Sea could really use it for their good battling that is. So thye left the gym with his new badge.

OCC: Sea gains another 2 lvs, and no TMs. You get 1,000 dollars as a reward. Sorry. ^_^'
