Description: Physically, there is nothing that sets Hibiki apart from the masses. He has short hair, light brown in color, with bangs that just barely hang below his brow. The back of his hair, too, is short, though he has grown a tail that hangs just at shoulder level. His eyebrows are very slightly thicker than most people's, though this difference is far from noticeable. His eyes, which are framed by glasses with a slight gray tint, are a bright, muddy brown and are often focused on a book of some kind. His one distinguishing feature might be his nose, which is sharp and pronounced, but few people would bother paying close attention to such a thing. His mouth and overall facial features are most always set in such a way as to indicate complete disinterest in in what is happening around him.
His build borders on lithe and average, though he leans more toward the former. His muscles are defined, but only lightly. Depending on the light-to-shadow ratio of a given area, as well as the angle light hits him, his ribs are visible beneath his skin. As with the rest of him, his arms and legs are average length, though his fingers are longer than normal. His skin is fair, unmarked by any scars, though to say he's never been wounded would be a lie. His body just doesn't scar easily.
His preferred style of dress is a tight fitting, black, long sleeved shirt with a turtle neck collar made of a thin, stretchy material that is similar to a scuba suit, though not quite so tight. The shirt is usually tucked into his loose fitting pants, also black, which are held up by a brown belt. The strap of his bag, which contains a few books as well as materials for writing and taking notes, can be seen slung across his chest. He wears a long, brown coat that drags the ground a little as he walks. The coat is worn unbuttoned. His hands are covered by white gloves that are thick, but not so much as to restrict hand movement. Th footwear he chooses is a pair of worn, low-cut, work boots. Like his pants and shirt, they are black.

Personality: He is, for the most part, antisocial. Most living beings just don't hold his interest for long. There are many reasons for this, the most prominent being that he doesn't know how to interact with others. With close friends, he isn't so reserved, but ask him to meet some new people and he becomes unsure of how to act. Social situations involving large groups silence him completely. To be an observer is his nature. Asking any more of him is a useless endeavor. Even so, in any given situation, there is only so much one can learn and once he feels he's learned enough, he dives head first into the world of literature, all but shutting out the outside world and becoming lost in his own mind.
His feelings toward the world around him are those of indifference. He cares not about the opinions others have about him and if an event occurs that has no immediate effect on his life, he simply continues existing as though that event never happened. As far as intellect, while he may not be the smartest man alive, he knows that he can out think most. He does not flaunt his intelligence, though.
Aside from reading, his hobbies include writing, whether it be short stories or just notes on what he has learned from his observations. Another of his interests is drawing, though he is admittedly a shoddy artist. Astronomy also grabs his attention, along with chemistry and biology, though he knows next to nothing about the latter.
Those who speak on a subject while knowing next to nothing of it are quite possibly the most annoying people on Earth in Hibiki's book. Especially if they refuse to accept that they are wrong when proven to be so. Likewise, arrogance is one of the man's pet peeves. Those who treat others as inferior are one of the few things that will provoke an angry reaction from Hibiki.
