On the hunt...CLOSED

-= As calibretto and tangela stroll with leisure they both appear to be looking intently around them, as if taking in the scenery, or ... searching for pokemon. Taking their time, absorbing the environment they stroll along hoping to find what they're searching for, but always up for adventure none the less.=-


Calibretto: " Remember... if you see a ditto, be calm, dont startle it off. Hopefully we come across one who's been out and about a little.. has seen more than just you. It would be pretty boring fighting yourself dont you think? "

-= Tangela gave a short squeak in response. As if to agree. =-


Calibretto: " But dont worry if we dont come across one just yet, there are plenty of friends i have on the list to gather. Granted its a pretty large list, but ive got a few in mind right off the bat. Either way, not a big deal , im sure we can have some fun along the way. Lifes an adventure right? "

-= Tangela seems to almost roll her eyes as she strolls along next to him, her tentacles jiggling and squirming as she moves. Every so often she'll bounce ahead and stop to smell some flowers , or stop to gaze at the clouds, or the tree's ... she seems to be enjoying herself. Calibretto only grins and keeps pace with her. =-

::The two of you walk around seeing the greenery aned shrubery that was flurishing as well as the grass that seemed to move in the light breeze. the sky a forget-me-not blue and the sun was bright. You journey on the dirt path looking for anything to fuel your drive to gain more experience and hopefully level up your pokemon as well as look for new friends. You hear movement not far from you shifting in the earth of something that was coming your way. It had several legs as you heard them move towards you for it had sen you and now you it!::

Calibretto: " Interesting. Spinarak. This could be fun. Tangela, let it get close, but be careful it is a spider type. Dont let it get any web on ya. Move in on it, get close, douse it in sleep powder. "

-=Tangela quivers with excitement and faces the foe head on, as it gets closer tangela begins to move in, being every watchful in preperation to avoid any oncomming string shots and preparing her sleep powder. As she moves in a small cloud of sleep powder seems to be trailing off her. When she gets closer she'll stop and release a large wave of sleep powder in all directions , but more focused towards the enemy.=-

OOC: I was going to reply sooner or later okay don't rush me!

IC:
::The little spider with its green body and blotches of black on its body its yellow legs twitch as eh hairs on its eight legs . It decided to start it off with a poison sting as it aimed at the vine looking pokemon the sting shot towards it full of poison as it hit it took health away and might of poisoned Tangela in the process. It waited for the counter in order to be ready to counteract the attack. As it was there close to the ground its belly barely above the grain of the dirt and if hid in the grass would be barely visible. What will your pokemon counter with?::

-=Calibretto stays silent and watches, observing. Tangela continues its headlong rush towards the spider and just a split second after the sting hit, she released a large wave of blue sparkling powder in a cone shaped puff that speeds towards the spider and filles the area with a glittery sleeping powder.=-

(OOC: I wasnt rushing you. Gotta chill lol. Ive been working 2 jobs last couple days, i understand ALL about being away and unable to post. It happens.)

::Some of the sleeping powder had fallen on the tiny spider as it started to work itself on it. It countered by using its special move which it had since existance it used "Spider Web" as the giant web came out of it and worked itslef on the tangea. As the spider yawned from the sleping powder. As the spider web worked itself making it unable for the tangela to escape and something else.::

Calibretto: " Alright. It wants you to stay put. Then lets stay put. Ingrain. Grab it and crush the life out of it."


-=Tanglea ceased struggling and began to glow a vibrant green aura under the sticky webs holding her in place. The ground around her began to tremble slightly as the light got stronger. The ground beneith spinarak cracked open as roots began quickly squirming out and wrapping themselves around its body, lifting it into the air. The roots then began to constrict around the little spider and began to crush it slowly.=-

::The spinarak saw the roots spring up as it awoke from the evercoming drift. Its eyes fluttered it used Poison Sting once again as the sting went flying inward and struck true thistime poison sinking through into the Tangela's vines. it was now poisoned and even with its ingrain in play it would still be poisoned although i'd still gain somelife, just not all of it! As the string shot pokemon stood on its legs adn was still low to the ground it awited to see what would happen next.

Calibretto: " Hrm. Alright. New tactic. Time to focus your control over the roots. Concentrate on the entire area around spinarak. Take control over all the roots in that area. Bombard it with roots, dont allow it a moment to react. Immobilize it, and wrap it tight with those roots covering it completely, crushing the life from it and stopping it from being able to fire an attack. "


-= A small bead of sweat began to form on tangela's brow....well on one of the tentacles near her eyes. Her glow increased as she concentrated on the roots in the entire area. A large portion of ground around spinarak began to tremble slightly as MANY roots came springing out of the ground in a rapid firing assault of tendrils. Tendrils shot straight up into the air forming almost a wall completely around spinarak and tangela and some of the nearby tree's. The tendrils folded inwards towards spinarak and with vicious aim bore down on it in a fury. Each individual root seemed hell-bent on a dead aim path to entangle spinarak and mummify it with roots so as to completely encase its body and begin crushing the life out of it. Many roots sped down with extreme precision, and more roots were comming from behind the first wave just incase spinarak managed to jump out of the way it would instead jump into the waiting doom of another wave of roots.=-

(okay one thing that doesn't sound much of a fighting chance for the spinarak and two ithought tangela was lv.5?)

::As the spinarak saw the wall of roots come around it seeing this it tried to escape as it got onto the top-side of one of the falling roots it had successfully surpassed the perail which it would of had faced adn had fainted from the cause of it as well. Now looking at the tangela with daggers it shot yet another poison sting as it took energy from it and poisoned it even more.::

(OOC: 1) It uses up 90% or more of her energy to try this attack. However 2) It is your job as a moderator to reinforce what should be the laws of how things work. For example if you think its too powerful, simply post back saying "your tangela struggles to pull of the fancy manuver she set in her mind to do , but unfortnatly it is just too complex, she only manages to get a few more roots than normal out for the attack while struggling to do so" and then go from there, or any other variety. But please dont pm me saying im power modding or whatever when in fact i am doing what any player does, explaining what i want to happen. Should you allow it , then it has been allowed. Should you disallow, then so be it. )


-=Exhausted from the previous maneuver tangela can do nothing more than rest this round and focus on nothing more than regaining its health and energy.=-

::As well the spinarak was a little exhausted from trying to dodge that attack as both of them stand there breathing in adn out deeply it uses Poison Sting once more will it hit or miss?::

Calibretto: " Sidestep it tangela, and as fast as you can make a rush towards him, get up close, snatch him up with your vines and wrap him up good! "

-= The poison sting flew in hard and at the very last second tangela vanished to the side and charged hardcore towards the spinarak. When getting within range her vines shoot out and quickly wrap around the spider's head and body as she begins to Constrict him. =-

(How are you for sure its male or female?)

::As the poison sting flew in it missed as the spinarak looked surprised seeing as it had sidestepped quick enough to avoid the sting's effect or even injure it. The next second it was caught by the tangela's vines it had been wrapped by them. It struggled trying to get out of its peril which would be in vain for the vines had it caught up good and tight. It would take a lot of energy to get out of this one. it did however use String Shot to take down some defense in the process hoping that would make it just a little easier to get out of the tendrils. It semed like a while, but it was just a few turns when it was finally able to get out of the vines and now wasn't doing good on energy maybe like one ortwo more attacks would put it to rest. One if you wanted to capture it!::

(OOC: Im not, but i was using him and he as a "general point" , sort of the way people refer to god as a "him" and a "father" when in actuality if god exists, then god is more of an IT , not a he or she)


Calibretto: " I wonder.... .... .... Tangela ... smack it into the air with your tendrils, and smack it hard! I have an idea. "

-= Tangela spun and released a few tendrils out that extended and became spinning whips of doom, and with one good CRACK tossed the tiny spider into the air in a spinning motion. The sticky webs on tangela's body stopped her from moving much from the spot she was standing in, and quickly slowed her spin, but she was able to spin enough to toss spinarak into the air.

With a move as fluid as water and almost as fast as the speed of light calibretto had released a pokeball at full speed towards spinaraks head, hoping to land a resounding SMACK on its head and absorbing it in.=-

(OOC: The smacking of the tendrils was an attack, and if there is any fight left in him, hopefully the THUD of the pokeball knocks out whats left)

::The spinarak was able to defend itself against the attacksthat was to come as it tried its best to block the attacks they still happened as it was hit by the Tangela and then was caught even more out of surprise when a pokeball was thrown on it and wasabsorbed into it. Now the battle would commense within the pokeball which makes you and Tangela to wait for the pokeball to stop moving as it started to beep and shuffle back and forth as it waited to succume to the pokeball and to finally rest....::

::As the two of you wait in quiet reverence waiting tosee if the spinarak would accept the pokeball and your party or deny you and come back out, but you still wait personally wishing that itwould end and the wait would beover. As you finally hear a soft click and the flashing light seized.

-=Tangela wraps the pokeball with a tendril and flicks it to calibretto who proceeds to let spinarak out of its ball.=-

Calibretto: " Well. Now arent you just an interesting little specemine. Ill bet you could be very useful in further adventures. "

-=Calibretto picks up spinarak and walks over to tangela who roots herself and begins to heal, recovering health and letting the poison wear off. Calibretto sits down next to her and sets spinarak down infront of them both and lays back to rest.=-

Calibretto: " Well tangela, let me know when you feel up to moving on. For now though we can all rest here. Spinarak , you should also rest you did well in that battle. "

-=Calibretto, Tangela, and their new friend spinarak relax and enjoy a good long rest. All the while preparing themselves mentally for the task ahead..... Adventure!=-









-= After a couple hours of rest the group pack up and head out along the way. Tangela and spinarak in their pokeballs feeling much better, and calibretto still picking leaves out of his hair. What new adventures can await ahead.... only time will tell=-

(OOC: Choosing to continue along the path. )

::After picking the last of the leaves out of your hair and fully recollecting yourself, you continue your trek through the fields. The vast woods seem to grow deeper and thicker the further you venture on. Soon, you decide to continue where you left off::

:OOC: OOPS! I forgot to tell ya if there is someone already modding a thread not to drop in unless its been at least a few days to a week and if someone who is modding doesn't return either three days or a week then you can ask the person of that thread if you can mod for them okay! Sorry Calibretto if you want to reply go on right ahead!:

*Feeling much better calibretto and the gang pack up and head out. Everyone back in their pokeballs calibretto heads down a nearby path just looking around*

(Its alright if your post was only a one-liner dude I know why you did it.)

::You traveled with the clothes on your back and your pokeballs on your waist as you traveled the once traveled road repeating the footsteps of millions of others before you and the ones ahead of you that would do the same journey. In fact down the road was a boy who looked like he was a camper and even had a camp already set up. For it was about the time as the sun was starting to head downwards not nly was it a boy who was camping, but he was a pokemon trainer as well. Will you keep to the road or will you dodge his campfire?::

*Calibretto stops in his tracks and looks down towards the camp and after a moment of thought decides against furthering in that direction. As much as he's all for exploration and learning about trainer tactics, he's more about learning about the wild pokemon in their habitat. So with nothing more than a head cocked to the side he takes a sharp turn and leads down a new path, this one less traveled and less weather beaten.*

*After a few minutes of travel deep into the field, he's left the campfire to his back and continues his hunt , darkness or no, he's not in the slightest tired, his nap rejuvenated him. And the darkness doesnt scare him one bit, it actually intrigues him to see what new pokemon will be comming out now that its not bright daylight.*

::You feel the cold on your back as it becomes full night and the moon has risen a fiar distance. As you see that it is a half moon a perfect crescent as it gives you light to find your way in the darkness even though it isn't that much of a light. However you trudge in the night as you hear the sounds of the noctournal pokemon coming to life as hoothoots hooted and dark pokemon come out oftheir hiding places to frolic in the night air. Your footsteps crumble as the grass bends under your shoes and you make a path that is until you run into something solid making you trip will you investigate of what it is or will just pass it as nothing and move on?::

*Calibretto slowly gathers himself up and dusts himself off, does a quick check to make sure everything is still there and then begins to investigate what it was that caused him to trip, one hand at the ready near his pokeballs just incase.*

::As you creep carefully feeling your way and being careful not to trip on it again with your hand to your belt you try to look and see with the light you have to see what you had tripped on. Taht is when you feel someting prickling at the hand that was outstretched towards the something on the ground. As it lay there quiet trying to be secret and not found. Of course you knew that something was there as you keep on feeling around and you start to feel a shape that of something that had four legs and a small tail. Its fur was dark, but had a couple indicators which would of been perfectly made out with more light at your hands, but you didn't and so you had only your eyes and the light of the moon to figure out what it was...::

*Calibretto pulls out the pokedex and clicks it open, letting both the light of the display screen and the reading tell him exactly what he's looking at. Knowing the pokedex doesnt require "visible light" to detect the type of pokemon he clicks the button that activates the scan revealing the pokemon to him........*

"At the time of birth, it has just one tail. The tail splits from its tip as it grows older." Was the message that came on the pokedex as it showed a picture of a Vulpix that was the pokemon which you had perviously tripped over. Now that you've found out the pokemon will you attack it or will you do something else?::

Calibretto: " OH! Vulpix, the fire fox pokemon. Gorgeous pokemon. And its evolved form is even more gorgeous. I cant waste anymore pokeballs though. But ill definatly have to make note of this area for the future. "


*Calibretto leans in slowly to make sure the vulpix isnt injured. Having researched and cared for many pokemon back in the lab a part of him wants to make sure the pokemon isnt injured before he heads deeper into the terrain and further along his way.*

::As you lean inward to the vulpix you se the fire come alive in its eyes as it sees you get closer as it gets protective of itself as it starts to growl at you ready to leap into action, but thought it'd at least give you the benefit of the doubt even thouh it was totally alright still you where getting to close to its personal space as it started to get on the defensive. Its tail started to shake and it bared its teeth ready to spring as you are hunched in the cold grass getting a closer look at it what will you do now that its gotten a little tense here?::

(OOC: Sorry about being away for so long without notice, a few things came up that stopped me from being able to access the computer for a short while, and then drama ... so yeah... anyway.)

-Calibretto makes slow and passive movements away from the vulpix so that it understands he's backing down , but not running away. A few moments after he's put distance between himself and the vulpix he turns and walks non-chalantly into the woods. This time he seem's very motivated. As if he's looking for something. Almost as if he's looking for one of a few particular pokemon muttering something about Duskull or Teddiursa-

*Calibretto comes to a stop and thinks for a moment*

Calibretto: " I really am in abit of a hurry. .... What do you mean you can "give me something". Like what? "

*Calibretto thinks for a moment, as if he's debating if its worth stopping or if simply moving on would be better*

Calibretto: " Hm. I am trying to locate a teddiursa... but i guess i could help. Where did they go? "

*Calibretto thinks for a moment, but only a moment and his eyes narrow slightly and his mouth contorts into a grin that almost strikes fear into your heart*

Calibretto: " Well, see, now youve got my attention. And My services. Lead the way. Team rocket will return your pokemon or ill take them apart with my bear hands. "

*Calibretto reaches into his pocket as if he's reaching for something and then pauses*
Calibretto: " I should probably shoot you in the kneecaps and take back what belongs to this young trainer. But instead maybe i will indeed battle you. "

*Calibretto's hand seems to release whatever was in his pocket and then reaches to his belt and grabs a pokeball then waits for the team rocket member to make the first move.*

Calibretto: " Actually, i could easily place a single round between your eyes faster than your brain could process i'd moved. However, this could prove more fun. "

*Calibretto twirls the pokeball he was holding on his finger and with a flash clasps it in his hand and pauses. Thinking for just a split second. He quickly returns the pokeball to his belt with a smirk, and grabs the other ball. With a flash he's released the ball and a little spider now runs happily infront of him clicking and chattering.*

Calibretto: " Alright spinarak. Take a defensive stance. Wait for the arcanite to move first. If its a fire based attack, dodge. If its a non-fire physical attack, prepare string-shot , i have an idea. "


*Spinarak buckles down and prepares for battle, keeping its eye on arcanine.*

::As the spinarak got into position to be ready to battle the Grunt was happy for this looked like the win would be in the bag. For Fire would be able to win against a bug pokemon. "Alright Ace let's do it how we planned!" As he gave the arcanine the go ahead to carry on a plan which they had been rehearsing not to long ago especially when they had been ready ever since they met the other trainer and tok his pokemon hich knew a rare attack. The Arcanine used Flamethrower as the flames jumped the ground and went airbourne question is will it hit and hurt the spinarak or will it be able to dodge quick enough?::

(OOC: Be fair? ... seriously? ... spinarak vs arcanine ... and your telling me to be fair? o_O)



Calibretto: " As i suspected, he's overconfidant ... -tsk- ... figures. Spinarak quick side-step and stringshot! "

*Side-step was abit of a misnomer due to spinarak's body type, however it seemd to fully understand what calibretto meant and with a skitter sideways and a harsh tuck and roll like a rolled up tiny ball of legs it seemd to just BARELY skid out of the way of the oncomming fire. And with the lightning reflexes of a spider it seem'd to have popped back up into a fighting stance and simultaneously let loose a stringshot. Unfortunatly a single long string was all he had time to release before arcanine was almost on top of him.*

(Well you see I have an idea for spinarak will prevail, but I ain't gonna show you right now how though!)

::As the Arcanine was struck by the single strand of sticky spider's web which had struck him seemed to stick and his defenses went down as he tried to get rid of the single strand he seemed to of gotten a little entangled in it as now what used to be just a single strand was now tangled between two of his legs. this wasn't a really good thing as he tried to bite the string now its head was caught as well. The grunt wasn't happy about this as he commanded the incopetanant Arcanine to use Flamethrower once again on the sticky substance it had done so, but it had as well as burnt itself, but now it was free from the entanglement. But he had wasted his turn with getting free so now it was back to being the spider's turn!::

*Calibretto scowls for a moment.*


Calibretto: " Alright... Spinarak, lets try another stringshot volley. This time make a leaping attack sporatically. Your webbing should reduce his speed enough to bring him to a near crawl if you can layer it enough. "

*Spinarak crouches slightly (as much as a spider can crouch) and begins skittering towards the arcanine in a zig-zag motion, every so often openning his fangs to release a shot or two of spider webbing. Every few feet he rush's he leaps into the air and fires another volley of stringshot in an attempt to lay a decent ammount down on the arcanine hoping to pin it in place or at least slow it down.*


Calibretto: " If he moves in on you too quickly dodge and try another stringshot, otherwise keep it going! "

Calibretto: " Spinarak , Dodge, Poison sting! "

*Spinarak skitters at full speed away from the rampaging fire-wheel and manages to space himself well when he turns to fire his attack. Unfortunatly because of the chaotic pattern arcanine is rolling in predicting his attack is difficult for spinarak. The little spider skitters from side to side and waits for a second as arcanine's new rolling path took it direclty for the little spider. Spinarak leaps to the side just at the last second and unfortunatly once more is just abit too late. This time the wheel grazes the side of the spider sending it flying back. Spinarak stands up and shakes off the dizyness abit, but was still rather injured thanx to the attack being fire type.

Spinarak's eyes glare and it opens its fanged mouth once more this time releasing thousands of thin purple energy needles barraging down on arcanine over, and over , and over again in a furious attempt at knocking it out. Spinarak seems angry at the fact that arcanine was able to hit him (even though it was only partially) even after its speed was reduced with the stringshots. The poison sting barrage seems to be repeating over and over again.*

Calibretto: " Well. That looks painful. "

*A very small bead of sweat begins to form at the side of spinarak's head.*

*Spinarak's burns werent severe enough to cause continual damage. Still struggling because of the damage its already taken the spider manages to back-leap just enough to avoid the bite, but only barely. Now staring dead into the face of arcanine spinarak hears Calibretto's orders*

Calibretto: " Poison Sting, NOW! "

*Without even flinching spinarak's mouth opens quickly and unleashes another barrage of poison needles directly into the face of the arcanine, however the barrage doesnt continue for as long as it didi last round as spinaraks body faulters and the attack stops, the spider winded spends the rest of the round trying to catch its breath*
