Vermillion City

Lowell gets some extra sleep, waking up around 11. He eats lunch before gathering his Pokemon and heading out into the town. He looks for any trainers who want to battle.

You continue around town seeing quiet a few gift shops.

Lowell keeps looking for trainers to battle.

You soon find a trainer willing to fight, her name is Danny. Who quickly sends out a Mudkip.

Lowell sends out Riolu, who is ready for a battle. Riolu charges and uses Shadow Claw.

The mudkip jumps away and uses water gun.

Riolu jumps over the attack using his Agility. "Riolu, use Shadow Claw!" Lowell shouts. Riolu jumps forward and swings at Mudkip.

The mudkip flys back but counters with mudslap. Hitting Riolu.

"Riolu, use Agility!" Lowell shouts. Riolu zips in every direction, before speeding directly at Mudkip.

Mudkip avoids the attack and does another watergun.

Riolu deflects the blast of water. "Use Shadow Claw again, Riolu!" Lowell says.

The mudkip dodges and attacks with bubblebeam.

The bubblebeam hits Riolu and pushes him back. "Riolu, use Agility to cut through the bubbles!" Lowell tells him. Riolu zips forward and strikes Mudkip.

The Mudkip is hit back but attacks with a mudslap.

Riolu slices through the mud with his Shadow Claw, deflecting it to his sides. Lowell looks the situation over, before a thought strikes him. I can get this over with faster if I use Minun! He needs the exercise anyway. "OK, Riolu, let's return you to your Pokeball and give another Pokemon a chance!" Lowell says. He releases Minun, who is energetic and ready to go. "Use Thunder on that Mudkip, Minun!"

The thunder KO's the pokemon and your opponet lets out a Charmander that uses ember.

Minun takes the attack. Wanting to make this a team effort, Lowell returns him to his Pokeball: "Good job, Minun!" Lowell takes another Pokeball and opens it. "Poliwag, go! Use Bubble Beam on Charmander!"

Charmander flys back but counters with slash.

Poliwag rebounds backwards, slightly hit. "Poliwag, use Water Gun and douse that Charmander!" Lowell says.

charmander avoids the attack and uses Overheat. poilwag avoids the attack, and uses another watergun. Blasting the fire pokemon back.

After pushing Charmander back, Poliwag flips forward. "Go, Poliwag, press the attack!" Poliwag lets out a Bubble Beam at Charmander.

The Charmander is KO'd and poilwag gains two levels. You win the fight and the trainer smiles. "Wow your pretty good!"

Lowell returns Poliwag to his Pokeball. "Thanks, you too." he says. Lowell walks back towards his hotel, but decides to stop in one of the many gift shops and see what they have.

Walking into the gift shops you see over millons of diffrent items. One section has keychains, another has T-shirts with Vermillion City written in blue. Your eyes drift to a section that has stickers for pokeballs.

Lowell examines the stickers for a moment. He takes a sheet up to the front desk. "Excuse me, but what exactly is the use of these stickers?" He asks politely.

A girl at the counter smiles. "These stickers are used to not only decorate a pokeball but everytime you summon one of your pokemon something diffrent might happen." The girl pulls out a lightning sticker. "If you use this sticker everytime your pokeball is used beams of light surrond you pokemon, for extra affect!"

"That's pretty cool." Lowell says, looking at the different kinds. "How much do they cost?" he asks.

"100 dollars each! There on sale!" The girl said in a happy tone.

Lowell examines them for a bit longer. "That sounds like a good deal." he said. He took out his money, and chose some of the stickers he wanted. "I'll take 10 of them, please." he said, giving the girl 1000 dollars.

The woman takes the money. "great! Hope you enjoied shopping here!"

Lowell puts the stickers in his pocket. "I did, thank you." he exits the store, glancing at the clock on the way out. I've still got a couple hours until sunset. he think. He wanders about the town a bit. [i]Since I plan on facing the Gym Leader tomorrow, I should get some practice in with my Pokemon.

So Lowell walks out of the city, towards an area where he can train his Pokemon.

After his Gym victory, Lowell takes a day to rest himself and his Pokemon.

The next day, Day 9, he heads out towards the next town. (To be continued...)
