Mt. Moon...CLOSED

Karasu approached Mt. Moon's entrance and flicked on his PokeNav. He brought up the map, and began to study it thoroughly. He took his badge case from his pocket, opened it, and again sighed, knowing that he had a lot more ways to go before he would be strong enough to confront his goal, Darkrai. He placed the badge case back in his pocket and stepped inside of the large entrance through Mt. Moon. He began walking through the long tunnel, when he came upon the first fork in the mountain. There were three paths to go through, yet only one of them was the quickest route to the next city. He looked at his PokeNav map again, and walked through the tunnel marked on the map. He continued walking, when he got to a steep drop in the tunnel. He slid down the rocks and continued down the cave. He noticed some dirt falling from the top of the dirt walls, and heard a rumbling coming from one of the tunnels above. He shrugged it off, thinking it was just another hoard of Aron, who were common in these caves. He had to be cautious of the dark unknown behind and beyond him, and he knew that if he wasn't carefull, a group of Aron could come down his tunnel and trample him. He continued walking, but heard some rocks falling in the distance. It sounded too quiet to be a group of Aron, but more like just one pokemon. He went closer, and saw that one of the top corners of the cave was being pushed through, with rocks and dirt falling, creating a hole. He stood there, with a pokeball in hand, waiting to see what came through it.

::As you wonder in the dark creeping through the cavern of untold surprises adn dangers. You still wonder what it is that you had heard and what was to come. For you stil wondered what it was the reason why it was so quiet. As quiet as the wind that passes through the corridors. As a great rumbling comes toward you it was the same in which you had heard beforehand and it seemed to be rolling towards you or either slithering in other words. As it finally stopped in your wake looking at you in wonder for it was an Onix which is an unevolved version of the Steelix in which Brock commands. This is the monstrosity which is before the steel snake. And it looks like it might bea chance to own one yourself.::

Karasu could hear the roar of the Onyx as it rode closer towards him. He thought about trying to stom and battle it, but decided against it as it would be nearly imposible to dodge this big a pokemon in this little of a tunnel. He let the Onyx pass, with his back against a rock crevice and the slow rumbling of boulders as it rolled past him. He sighed, knowing that a pokemon of that power would be a great addition to his team, even if it wasn't a dark or ghost-type. He looked back at his PokeNav, noting which route of the cave to take next, at one point climbing a small metal ladder up to an upper part of the cave, probably left there to aid travelers. He was still thinking about the Onyx, and decided that he should at least leave here with one pokemon. He brought out his PokeRadar and turned it on. With an abundant source of Geodude and other rock-types, Karasu felt that it would be more of an experience to battle something other than a rock-type. He imputed a command on the PokeRadar to search for all life signs in the area that weren't of a mineral nature.

ooc: Are you looking for a specific pokemon?

IC:
::On the illuminated screen shows a mini layout of the caves inner paths. Showing up on the screen are little lights among the routes showing that there where in fact mineral pokemon around in several spots and not to mention trainers with mineral pokemon on them ready to incounter any opponenets taht walked in their path. As you see where they are and notice there isn't much on avoiding them for pokemon in here was a lot and came up on you wheneveryou did or didn't expect it and they show up in the weirdest of times as well.::

OOC: No, not really, just think rock-type pokemon are boring (I just spent 2 hours getting through Mt. Coronet on Platinum)...

IC:
Karasu continued down the cave, being cautious not to disturb any rock-type pokemon on the cave floor. He continued down the tunnels, following the map laid out on his PokeNav. He got bored after a while and decided to look for a pokemon on the PokeRadar. A few dots pinged up, and he walked down the tunnel towards the nearest dot.

::You step lightly trying to be as quiet asa corpse not to be seen by many of the rock-types as you keep going forward toward the dot on the screen getting closer and closer. All of a sudden you start to hear moving sound of footsteps almost you turn and see that it was a Machoke that was bulking up and getting ready for something to lift or to do something of a workout or could a battle among this trainer be his best bet?::

"Hmm... Alright, I suppose this is better than a Geodude..." Saying this, Karasu threw out his pokeball, and Squirtle appeared from the red beam shot from the ball. It looked up at the bulky Machoke and quickly shot a Confusion at its foe, not wanting to waste any time like its recent battle with Steelix. "Very good, your getting smarter... Confusion would be a good choice against a fighting-type..." The Squirtle grinned a bit, for it liked this new-found praise it was getting from its trainer.

::The turtle looked at the muscle proned fighting pokemon with the belt wrapped around his waist which was helping him with keeping his strength without tiring itself. As they both locked eyes in the battle stanse. The Machoke threw out a karate chop as it took its muscular arm erecting upwards and flew in a downward swipe about to take out some of the energy out of the Squirtle with its shell on its back.::

Squirtle leaped out of the way, just as the large arm of the Machoke came crashing down on the rock the turtle was previously standing on. Squirtle watched in awe as the arm flawlessly crushed the boulder, reducing it to a pile of rubble in seconds. Squirtle gulped, hoping that its shell wouldn't be Machoke's next victim, and let loose another Confusion attack at the bulky pokemon.

::As he finds that his target had moved in the sped of what the boulder would of been he is disappointed for he had not crushed his enemy. As he stood there waiting as he was disturbed by the confusion attack which bumped him and made him fall to the rocky earth as he picks himself up with speed adn uses Low kick knowing that this time ist should make its own mark on the enemy. As his sturdy body leaned down and forward yet again a strong leg kicks out into the air looking for the squirtle as he finds his mark adn the tiny yet somewhat strong squirtle had been kicked making him fly into yet another boulder not to far from where they where battling.::

Squirtle crashed into the rock, leaving an imprint of his shell of the surface. He fell to the floor, but got up and sent yet another Confusion at his foe. It felt a sort of envy at its opponent for being a first-stage evolution, and wondered what sorts of potentials and abilities he himself would unlock with Karasu being his ally. With the time being spent at Prof. Oak's laboratory, he had seen many different pokemon, even an occasional Blastoise. Every so often one would be brought in for research by the professor and the other pokemon would watch in envy at the large hulking pokemon with the huge glimmering shell and the cannons protruding out of both shoulders. He felt a new-found confidence and send in a few more bursts of psychic energy at the target Machoke. Squirtle wanted to get stronger. He wanted to prove to himself, to the other pokemon back at the lab, and to Karasu, that he had what it took to be a strong pokemon.

::The confusion attack hit once more cutting into the energy of the machoke as it was slammed into the surrounding area as it tried to get up, but failed for it was lost as its eyes looked around trying to find his foe, but was unfortunate. For he had become confused as it tried to use a Vital Throw finding a rock which he thought was the tiny squirtle as he threw it, but the rock all it did was fly into a wall. For he had no idea of things that was going around him. He was utterly and completely confused. So it took only three tries until he was finaly sucumbed to his confusion AS it stood there confused and trying to find a way to endure it and come out of it as well, but who knows...::

OOC: Are you intending of capturing the machoke or making it faint?

OOC: It would be a pretty good addition to the team, though i'm looking for something... darker... I might use him as trading fodder, though, many fighting-type trainers would be wanting a Machamp...

IC:
Squirtle grinned, knowing that he was in control of this battle now that the Machoke was confused, and went in closer to shoot another Confusion. Like always, it closed its eyes and held its head in its hands, shooting out pulses of psychic energy. When Squirtle opened its eyes, though, Machoke had already vanished into the pokeball that Karasu had thrown. It dropped to the ground, and like always, it teetered around the rocky floor with a faint beebing sound being heard. Squirtle, startled at the turn of events, dropped his vision down to the ball, and waited silently for it's outcome...

::The machoke was now trapped inside the pokeball as it tried to soothe the inner beast as the pokeball shifted around on the rocky floor and Karasu and Squirtle both await the results from it. AS they wait in intense patience almost thinking that nothing would happen it had finally fell silent and a tiny click sounded saying that you ahd caught it and now was stil confused inside the pokeball. You've caught a Male Machoke who is at Level thirty and knows the following attacks Low Kick, Karate Chop, Seismic Toss, adn Vital Throw. As you grab your newly aquired pokemon and put it on your belt as you go on your way through the cave hoping not to run into other pokemon.

You walk not to long ago until you see something in the small distance a trainer was waiting on the wayside for it was a little lost and wanting to battle someone sooner or later. Will you bump into her or will you try to avoid it?::

Karasu picked up the pokeball and attached it to his belt. He went back to studying on his PokeNav, and glanced up for a moment to notice the trainer in the distance. He quickly glanced down again, and returned to searching for information about the next gym leader of Cerulean City. He soon passed the trainer, not a word said between the two, and continued down the abyss of tunnels towards his next gym challenge. Shortly after passing, however, he stopped for a moment, half checking the map for the best route, and half glancing back at the trainer.

::As you look back to see the trainer she looks back at you at the same time the two of you lock eyes adn she sees that you are a trainer as she calls out into the void to you "Hey wanna battle?" She had asked in a friendly sort of way as she awaited him to call back for she was a bit lost and wanted to pass the time away with another battle. As she waited you think if this trainer has any rock-types for those would be a pain just like the last and you look down to the Pok'nav and notice her blip isn't on the screen making it known that she doesn't own any mineral pokemon.::

"Sure, I guess so..." Karasu threw his pokeball up to the ceiling of the cave and out sprang Rotom, flying through the air, happy to be back out of his ball. It zoomed around both trainers cheerfully, then flew back to Karasu, hovering silently beside him. It gave off a quick spark, showing that it was ready to battle.

::As the rotome was sprung from his prison of a pokeball so was the trainers pokemon which became a Gastly as it showed itself in its ghostly headbobbed in the air as it hovered around seeing what it was going to be going against and was ready to go for the goal itself.::

"Ghost-types are more affective against other Ghost-types, try to dodge all you can and use Confuse Ray often." Rotom nodded, and zoomed through the cave towards Ghastly. It got close enough, and shot a Confuse Ray at the Ghastly. It backed up a bit, and remained cautious for any move shot back at it.

::As the gastly saw its equal as it zoomed close to him it moved making the move barely hit him, but barely miss him at the same time as it aimed at the ghost with a psywave as it shot a wave from its mouth straight towards the Rotom with its wave of psychic energy forward as it struck the opponent. Afterwards it awaited to see what would happen next..::

ooc: that was a short reply for you man usually its at least four lines long?

OOC: I was watching Death Note. (Plus I don't do battle posts very long)

IC:
Rotom tried to move out of the way of the Psywave, but was hit by the side waves of the eminating pulse. It was injured, but shrugged it off and went in for another Confuse Ray, followed by a Thundershock.

::As the ray of psychic energy came back upon the gastly it knew that this time it wouldn't as so lucky as it was clearly hit by this one. As it felt the waves hit him and went back to be ready to aim off one of its own confuse ray as the same pulsing ray of psychic phenomenon ran forth to meet the forth coming Thundershock as both was pitched in battle electricity versus psychic energy as the confuse ray dodged it as it was put into more force it had hit the rotom, yet the gastly was hit by what was left of the thundershock as it was hit for a second time. It thought of trying to put this ppokemon to sleep as it tried using Hypnosis on the Rotom hoping upon hope that it would work...::

Rotom was off guard and was hit directly by the Hypnosis. It bobbed up and down as it tried hard to stay awake, and to remain hovering in the air. It shot a small Thundershock towards the Ghastly but didn't get more than a foot away from Rotom as it flickered out. It slowly descended to the floor and fell into a hypnotically-induced sleep. It lay there, motionless, untill a small zapping was heard, and it slowly opened it's eyes. It quickly fell back into the faint slumber. Rotom tried hard to not be influenced by the Hypnosis, but was unable and succumbed to the psychic power. Karasu stared down at the sleeping Rotom, waiting for Ghastly's next move in a hope to wake the sleeping ghost.

::As the ghastly saw that he had successfully made the rotom full asleep as it descended to the floor it used Night Shade to injure it even more hoping it wouldn't wake it for that would be a danger for him if the rotom was brought back to consciousness. As the dark energy went forth into the rotom as it injured him, but he did not wake...::

OOC: Had trouble with my Internet connection over the past week or so, but it's fixed and I'm good to go!

IC:
Karasu was mildly dissapointed, and he knew that there was a good chance that he wouldn't win this battle. He knew he would be defeated by a trainer eventually, but he still wanted to continue his winning streak (even if it's only one win) a bit longer. The Rotom lay there, still asleep, awaiting the next move brought on by the Ghastly.

::Finally the rotom was awoken as the ghastly was just about to shoot off a Confuse Ray its psychic wave going towards the pokemon who had apparently just awoke from a deep sleep..::

The Rotom awoke just to be shot at by another Confuse Ray. He was sent flying back to the floor, and wearily tried to get up. He was dizzy and confused, so he closed is eyes, and rushed towards the Ghastly with sparks and Thundershocks buzzing wildly around him.

::The ghastly looked at how the Rotom was doing in the battle and it was starting to get a little cocky as he noticed that the rotom was at this time losing, but he saw that the lightning that was being produced around the Rotom and began to get humbled, but not fast enough asthe little sparks that was flying began to shcok its bodiless form as it was hit by what fury the rotom was fueling out to him. AS its energy was starting to go down gracefully.::

As it grazed the Ghastly with its electrical bursts, Rotom became dizzier, could not see where i was going, and barrelled down straight towards the rock wall. It slid across it, scratching one of its sides along the sharp rock edges of the wall. It was losing energy fast, and tried to u-turn towards the Ghastly for another attack, but instead could not hold itself up any longer and dropped to the ground. Karsu had seen that it had fainted, and returned it. "I suppose I'll need to find an appliance for it in the next city..." Karasu walked closer towards the trainer and handed over $280 prize money. "I am Karasu Matahara. It was an honor to have my first loss be by a ghost-type pokemon.

::You tend to return to the pokecenter automatically to heal your pokemon thus to be able to get through the caves to find himself Cerulean, but at this moment he rushed to go heal his pokemon...::
